Gas prices in Maine were close to the national average of $3.087 a gallon of regular unleaded gas Tuesday. Maine gas stations charged an average of $3.025 a gallon, up from the state average of $2.876 one year ago, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report Web site.
